Bouncing Ball Artist Statement

I wanted to do a more abstract concept for my bouncing ball so I sketched out a small course in my notebook and then recreated it in Harmony. Originally the ball was going to bounce into the bucket and that would be it but I decided to have the bucket fall over and the ball to roll out to make it more interesting and to create a sense of weight with the ball. With the slope I originally had more frames of the ball before realizing that the ball moved too slow on the slope so after removing some frames I was able to give the ball more speed and a better sense of weight. The color for the stairs and slope also proved to be difficult when attempting to fill them in with the paint bucket. I hat to connect several points to make the program fill in complete shapes. There were also many places where the ball changed size so using the scale tool I was able to remove any parts where the ball changed size. Several frames were also added to give the ball more squash and stretch and a sense of weight on the slope, stairs, and wall completing the animation of the ball.
